The communication and exchange of medical data for the eHealth Cross-Border Health Services is achieved through the National Contact Points for eHealth (NCPeH) of each country. Member States of the European Union are required to establish and operate the National Contact Point for eHealth, following the guidelines of the eHealth Network. The aim is to ensure interoperability between the National Health Systems of the Member States, enabling the secure exchange of medical data through the eHDSI – “MyHealth@EU” European infrastructure.
