{"id":6157,"date":"2025-09-26T04:54:47","date_gmt":"2025-09-26T04:54:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wyy1unhonu.wpdns.site\/press-release\/"},"modified":"2025-09-26T04:59:29","modified_gmt":"2025-09-26T04:59:29","slug":"press-release","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/neha.org.cy\/en\/press-release\/","title":{"rendered":"Cyprus leads the way in digital health with the &#8220;Integrating Genomics into the EHR &#8211; Gen2EHR Implementation Guidelines Workshop&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Press release<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Cyprus leads the way in digital health with the laboratory  <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>&#8220;Integrating Genomics into the EHR &#8211; Gen2EHR Implementation Guidelines Workshop&#8221;  <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The National e-Health Authority (NHEA) as the competent authority for e-Health in Cyprus, in collaboration with the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics and the University of Cyprus, organizes the workshop  <strong>&#8220;<\/strong><strong>Integrating<\/strong> <strong>Genomics<\/strong> <strong>into<\/strong> <strong>the<\/strong> <strong>EHR<\/strong><strong>  &#8211;  <\/strong><strong>Gen<\/strong><strong>2<\/strong><strong>EHR<\/strong> <strong>Implementation<\/strong> <strong>Guidelines<\/strong> <strong>Workshop<\/strong><strong>&#8220;<\/strong>, which will take place on  <strong>29-30 September 2025<\/strong>, at  <strong>Auditorium of the Institute of Neurology and Genetics<\/strong>  in Nicosia.<\/p>\n<p>The laboratory is part of the European Health Data Space Regulation (EHDS), which came into force last March 2025. It aims to present and prototype the design of the data flow from the citizen&#8217;s genome to the Electronic Health Record (EHR) in order to support the secondary use of data to improve healthcare, research and policy making. <\/p>\n<p>The workshop is aimed at health care providers, researchers, health policy makers, physicians and health professionals. The programme includes presentations, discussions and working sessions with the participation of leading scientists from Cyprus and abroad.
