The National eHealth Authority is accepting applications for one (1) part-time position for a Senior Special Research Scientist to work on the research project titled Xt-EHR, which is funded by the European Commission (EU4Health Project Direct Grants). Please note that full-time employment is equivalent to 38 working hours per week.

Mandatory Qualifications
-
A University Degree from a recognized institution in relevant fields (Computer Science and/or related fields).

Proven ability and experience in managing national or European programs.
-
Proven experience in eHealth systems.
-
Proven experience participating in scientific experiments and pilot applications.
-
Publications in high-impact scientific journals on eHealth topics.
-
Proven experience attending scientific training and seminars in Cyprus or abroad.
-
Excellent knowledge of the English language.
-
Integrity of character, confidentiality, organizational skills, responsibility, and sound judgment.
Additional Qualifications
-
Experience in writing proposals for European Commission project funding.
-
Experience in evaluating funded proposals.
-
Experience in techniques used for the exchange of medical data between national contact points (coding and communication protocols).

Experience in dissemination and communication, evaluation, and sustainability of results for national or European projects.
-
Experience in cross-border interoperability of medical data.
-
Execution of research programs from national and/or European funds.
-
Postgraduate degree (Master’s or PhD) in relevant fields (Computer Science, Engineering, or related).
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing, promoting, and managing the actions of the European project Xt-EHR, including:

Support in managing research programs.

Participation and contribution to the dissemination, communication, evaluation, and sustainability of project results.

Participation in defining general requirements for the Electronic Health Record (EHR), e-prescribing, patient summaries, and telemedicine.

Synthesis and comparison of results from pilot applications.
-
Implementation of quality standards and quality control tools.
-
Participation in coordinating and/or training meetings in Cyprus and abroad.

Additional duties: Writing articles, publishing results, and providing support in writing research proposals.
Employment Terms
The position is part-time with a 2-month contract.

Salary: The minimum monthly gross salary is set at €3,500 (based on 21 hours/week) and can reach a maximum of €7,000 (based on 21 hours/week), depending on experience, qualifications, and project tasks.

Deductions: Employee contributions to State Funds and Income Tax will be deducted from the amounts above.

Note: The contract does not provide a 13th-month salary or private medical insurance. Candidates do not need to be citizens of the Republic of Cyprus.
