Cancer remains one of the greatest public health challenges in Europe, and addressing it requires coordinated action, cooperation among Member States, and the use of science, technology, and innovation.

The National eHealth Authority actively participates in the European project “ ECHoS “ ( Establishing Cancer Mission Hubs: beyond Networks and Synergies ) , supporting the European effort to strengthen cooperation and innovation in the field of cancer prevention and treatment.

” ECHoS “, through the creation of National Cancer Hubs , brings healthcare professionals, researchers, patients, citizens and policymakers closer together, so that knowledge and European policies are transformed into concrete actions for better prevention and care.

After supporting the creation of 17 National Cancer Mission Hubs , ” ECHoS “ is entering a new phase, aiming to further expand the network and create a stable and interconnected European cancer collaboration network.

The National eHealth Authority supports European cooperation, harnessing the potential of digital health and innovation to improve prevention, provide more comprehensive care, and reduce disparities in cancer care.
